Norikura MTB Adventure

We thought the boys were supposed to go to school to see their teachers today for their weekly check-in but it turned out that we didn’t read the “very important” email from the school telling us that we are NOT TO BRING THE KIDS TO SCHOOL and that from Monday, only parents are allowed to come to school. Hannah and I were a little confused and the kids were quite disappointed as they have been looking forward to seeing their teachers all week, or maybe they just wanted to see someone other than their parents.

After the disappointment wore off we had lunch and I decided to go for a little MTB adventure with Malachi and Ezekiel. It is beginning to feel a little strange to go out and play when all the news and everyone around the world is being told to STAY HOME, but for us, there is way less chance of meeting people outside than inside our own home.

So out we go to explore the forest around our house.

We headed out towards Ichinose Meadow on the cycling road behind our house but ended up following an old logging road for a while and found some nice trail that took us over a ridge and out to the back of the meadow without ever seeing an actual road. After that we road down to Azami Pond and played tag for a while and then made our way back to the ridge trail to enjoy the downhill fruit of our labor.

And I am happy to tell you that we didn’t see a single person for the entire ride, so we did our part to practice social distancing.
