Norikura Kogen Trails

There has been some good movement in Norikura Kogen in the past few years.

The first is establishing a community vision called Norikura Kogen MIRAIZU. You can read a bit more in a previous post here.

The second is a big effort to establish a clear trailhead for a system of well-established but little-known hiking trails in Norikura Kogen and to officially open a network of mountain bike trails for public use.

Today, an official opening event took place at the trailhead in front of the Norikura Kogen Visitor Center.

The tape-cutting ceremony took place with the help of some special guests, including the mayor of Matsumoto – Mr. Gaun, the director of the Chubusangaku National Park office in Matsumoto – Mr. Morikawa, and a few others.
