Mount Norikura (乗鞍岳 3026m) is the 10th highest mountain in Japan and lies at the end of the Northern Japanese Alps. The weeks leading up to monsoon season (beginning of June to mid-July) are known for exceptionally good weather and today was no disappointment.
We headed up to shoot photos and check the condition of the Snow Wall at about 2700m. Buses are scheduled to begin running from Norikura Kogen Kanko Center to Katanokoya Guchi from May 31st 2017.
